Nov 022015

I’m just a few days late with my October review, but I actually got some reading done, so I wanted to share my stats anyway.

Books read:

In October – 10
Year-to-date – 106

Oct total read

Yay! I actually felt like I accomplished some reading this month. If I keep up this momentum I might be able to reach my goal of 125 books this year. It’s looking like it’s going to be close though. This month had a lot of audiobooks, so we’ll see how that goes since I don’t have a stockpile of them waiting for me anymore.

Oct by age rating

This month was mostly about adult reads. I did read one YA book this month, and it was unfortunately my least favourite of the bunch. The funny thing is that my year-to-date stats remain unchanged from last month.

I think this month was a huge success in terms of choosing books that I enjoyed, which I think is a big factor in getting more books read.

Oct by genre

One of the reasons I enjoyed most of the books I read this month is because I stuck mostly to urban fantasy and dystopian stories, which are obviously some of my most read genres.

So what’s coming for November? I have a few audiobooks earmarked to listen to (mostly urban fantasy series books), and with no immediate ARC/eArc books to read, I’m hoping to get to some of the physical books on my shelf. We’ll see how it goes though.

  1. I am jealous of how well you are able to balance reading with blogging! I am hoping I make 50 books this year to be honest, when I usually read 100+, but I have been much more occupied with Writing Whimsy this year instead. Your stats are so much fun, I am inspired to a similar idea for 2016 🙂 I think it would be a great way to share the reading highlights of each month and super cool to look back on!

  2. 10 is fantastic! Happy November!

  3. Wow! 10 books is quite enough! Congratulations! You definitely have a outstanding time management skills!
