Sep 302015

It’s been quite a while since I did a monthly review. I did a small review in July, but the last full one was in May.

Books read:

In September – 5
Year-to-date – 96

Sept - books read by type

As you can see, my reading has been very slow the last few months, but I’m still on track to meet my goal of the year, mostly due to audiobooks. This is a great way to sneak in reading when you can’t, or don’t want to, read an actual book, and it’s definitely boosted my numbers this year.

I’m slowly getting back into my reading habit, and with a ton of great books lined up this fall, I’m expecting much higher stats to come back.

Stats:

Time for some more fun charts. I skipped the monthly ones and only did year-to-date since my monthly numbers were so dismal the last few months.

Sept - age genre

My age genres are no surprise as they’ve been pretty consistent all year.

Sept - ratings

Looking at the ratings for the year, it seems like a really successful year so far. I have either loved or really liked the majority of the books I’ve read. There are always going to be books I don’t like, but I’ve been more successful at not picking them up this year.

Sept - genres

Every time I do this genre chart, I’m always super surprised at how much contemporary I read. It’s just not a genre I think about. I consider myself more of a urban fantasy/paranormal lover, but I obviously have pretty wide reading tastes.
