The first full week of work after vacation or shortened weeks is always the longest, and this week was no exception. It felt like the weekend would never arrive. Combining that with rain and cold and fog, and it was just a very blah week. But all our routines are back in order, so hopefully next week is better.

Books read:
Pacific FirePacific Fire – I really liked this book. It takes place 10 years after the first one, and focuses on a different character, but the overall feel was much the same, and was very inventive.

The Maze RunnerThe Maze Runner – I watched the movie recently, and figured I better read the book too. I really enjoyed it, and definitely plan to read the rest of the series.

Blood RitesBlood Rites – So much series development! I love it. Harry had a more take-charge attitude this time, and it really suits him.

Claiming CallieClaiming Callie – This was the collection of a 4 part serial that was light-hearted and fun. There was a definite Shopaholic feel, but with dual narratives.

They Call Me CrazyThey Call Me Crazy – A quick mystery story that is filled with very unique characters in a very small town.

Books received:
Netgalley strikes again. I picked up several books, and the funny thing is, I only even read the summary for a few of them. Edged Blade is the next in a series that I’ve been waiting eagerly for and as soon as I saw Lisa Genova’s name on Inside the O’Briens, I requested it because everything she writes is awesome. I picked up The Well and The Library at Mount Char and The Fold based on the summaries, and they all sound exciting.
