My son’s first few full days of kindergarten were very successful! He seemed to have a lot of fun and hasn’t had any issues yet. I’m really happy about that. I’ve been feeling much better this week, and I think my new vitamins have really helped.

When I wrote this post yesterday (feels like a time warp to write that), I was one book away from reaching my goal for the year of reading 125 books! I am super excited that I not only reached my goal, but that I still have almost 3 months to totally blow it out of the water. I probably won’t reach my 2011 goal (220), but I might be able to reach my 2012 goal of 150.

Books read:
The Gods of WarThe Gods of War – A military space story that read like a good action movie.

Kitty Goes to WashingtonKitty Goes to Washington – A fun urban fantasy featuring a uniquely non-confident and cocky alpha werewolf. Kitty feels refreshing and likeable.

Books received:

Just Girls A Ghostly Undertaking The Eye of Zoltar

This week I received an upcoming book tour ebook (Just Girls by Rachel Gold) and my first Edelweiss requested ARC (A Ghostly Undertaking by Tonya Kappes). I also picked up a book at the library (The Eye of Zoltar by Jasper Fforde) that I’ve been eagerly awaiting. It’s available in the UK already, and coming this fall to the US, but apparently my library got the UK version at some point, so I don’t have to wait as long as I thought I would.

  1. Congrats on reaching your Goodreads goal!!!!!!!!

Also score about Eye of Zoltar 😀 I hope you love it! That’s funny that your library somehow got the UK copy, I wonder if someone just really wanted to read it and so ordered the UK version outside of the normal methods? 😉

    • I have no idea how they ended up with the UK version, but I’m happy they did. I just finished it, and it’s such a fun read.
