Well, we’re done our first week of no school, and it doesn’t look like it will be starting any time soon. It’s disappointing and frustrating, but I’m glad we’re in a position where it doesn’t change much. Some parents haven’t been so lucky.

In weather news, while the week was cool and rainy and starting to feel like fall, this weekend has perked back up to summer heat and sun. I’m not sure whether I should be happy for the prolonged summer, or sad that cozy reading time isn’t here yet.

Books read:
UnbornUnborn – This was an okay story, but a lot of it felt familiar in some way, and only a few days after reading it, I can barely remember it.

FatedFated – A flowing YA story with a strong Native American vibe, this was a light and quick read.

FangirlFangirl – So much hype for this story, but I wasn’t really loving it until the romance came into play. Then it felt right and lovely.

Books received:

Don't Drink and Fly Fade to Black Fortune's Pawn

Don’t Drink and Fly (The Story of Bernice O’Hanlon #1) by Cathie Devitt
Fade to Black(The Weir Chronicles #1) by Sue Duff
Fortune’s Pawn (Paradox #1) by Rachel Bach – the Orbit book deal of the month, it’s only $2 for Sept
