The end of August already. This normally feels like the end of summer to me, but with the hot weather raging all month, it doesn’t feel like fall yet. In good news, I had another very book filled month. If I keep this up, I’ll hit my book goal for the year around the end of next month, which feels crazy.
Books read:
In August – 16
Year-to-date – 107
Favourite book of the month: Like a lot of months, I had some trouble picking my favourite read of the month, but I’ve settled on Shadow and Bone (The Grisha #1) by Leigh Bardugo. This is an extremely innovative fantasy story with a foreign feel.
Noteworthy Happenings:
This month has seen a few discussion posts, including posts about whether reading challenges make you feel more productive, how I manage to read multiple books at once, and a fun would you rather questionnaire.
Challenge Status:
2014 Ebook Challenge – 49/50 – So close to finishing! I’ve actually passed this already, but just haven’t got the reviews up yet.
2014 TBR Pile Reading Challenge – 31/40
What’s coming in Sept?
I would say back to school, but unless something drastic happens in the next 2 days, our teachers are on strike still. Been that way since early June. My son is scheduled to start kindergarten this year, and is very excited for it, so I’m hoping school starts up soon.
You did awesome! I wanna read Shadow & Bone.
Happy September reading!
Thanks! I obviously highly recommend it!
