week in review

This week felt like a long yet short week. I don’t know what happened, but it seemed really slow, except that I lost a day. I thought Thursday was Wednesday, and was really thrown off because nothing of note happened Mon-Wed to make me pick out which day was which in my mine. This whole week was off, and I’m looking forward to this week.

Canada Day is Tuesday, which means I work Mon and then Wed-Fri, which will make this week feel weird, but at least I have an extra day off.

Books read:
Child of the KnightChild of the Knight – An exciting epic fantasy that felt like heart pounding action for most of the story.

Gravely InanimatedGravely Inanimated – Wishy-washy, woe-is-me female characters annoy me, and unfortunately I just couldn’t take the main character in this book, so I DNF’d about 1/3 of the way through.

  1. I hate woe-is-me’s, too. One thing I can’t stand is a girl that can’t accept that a man maybe wants to talk to her because he’s interested in her. You know, the kind of woman that thinks everyone hates her and anyone who talks to her is out to get her.

    • “Woe is me” is so annoying. In this case, it was more of an urgency that she needed to choose one man right away, and was leading the other on, even though she only talked to each of them once. Jumping the gun, just a little there.

  2. Enjoy your extra day off this week! That fantasy looks great, but I’m sorry the other didn’t work for you. Props for DNF-ing though 😉

  3. Hope you get to relax and enjoy the extra day off this week! 🙂 I get mixed up with the days really often, but thankfully I’m still in school so writing down the date helps a lot, heh. Anyway, Gravely Inanimated sounds awful. I doubt I’d be able to finish a book with such a stupid character too. Hopefully your next reads will be much better!

    • Even when I write down the day a lot, it doesn’t always help, lol. I’m hoping my next few reads are much better.
