It’s been a while since I participated in a Top Ten Tuesday post, but since I have a list that corresponds with this week’s theme anyways, I thought I’d join in.
The theme this week is Ten Books That Will Be In My Beach Bag This Summer. Since I’m doing a challenge this month to read 10 physical books from my TBR pile, I thought I’d use that list since the weather here is nice enough that I want to throw my book in my bag and go sit on the beach.
The Misenchanted Sword by Lawrence Watt-Evans – This is a classic fantasy story with swords and magic and fun.
Fallen Angel by Heather Terrell – I’ve had this forever, and since reviews seem to be equally split between loving hating this book, I want to finally read it and see which side I’m on.
My Point… And I Do Have One by Ellen Degeneres – I love Ellen, and think she’s awesome.
What Came From the Stars by Gary Schmidt – I’ve had this ARC since BEA 2012, so I really need to get to reading it.
Evening Stars and Three Sisters by Susan Mallery – I read the first book in this series last week and loved it. It fits the classic beach chick lit reading theme.
Gravely Inanimated by Esther Wheelmaker – Zombie steampunk. Odd sounding genre mash-up that makes me want to check it out, even though I’m not typically into zombies or steampunk.
Ayjay’s Millions by Jask Wassermann – I need some kind of straight up mystery in my pile, and this is one I’ve had a long time.
The Godless by Ben Peek – I just got this one, and it isn’t out until August, but I’m excited about it and want to read it now.
Advent by James Treadwell – Magic and mythology is always a conbination that intrigues me.
And that’s my list of books in my beach bag this month; an eclectic, multi-genre list that with the exception of missing some UF books, is quite a tidy tale of what my reading habits are like. Have you read any, or want to read any? What’s in your beach bag this month?
