For seventeen-year-old Janie, getting sucked into other people's dreams is getting old. Especially the falling dreams, the naked-but-nobody-notices dreams, and the sex-crazed dreams. Janie's seen enough fantasy booty to last her a lifetime.

She can't tell anybody about what she does they'd never believe her, or worse, they'd think she's a freak. So Janie lives on the fringe, cursed with an ability she doesn't want and can’t control.

Then she falls into a gruesome nightmare, one that chills her to the bone. For the first time, Janie is more than a witness to someone else's twisted psyche. She is a participant.

This book was all about secrets: keeping and revealing them. Who knows them, who can be trusted with them, what do you do with them. It was an intriguing story, and while the romance was sweet and clean, and very cute to read, I kept going back to the secrets.

Not all the secrets are revealed in this first book. We got very little explanation of Janie’s condition, which was a bit annoying. I wanted to learn more about how she got it, and how it works, and just more in general. Hopefully this comes later in the series.

My only real complaint with the book is the verb tense. It’s written in a form that’s uncommon, and for me, it felt odd and distracting. Most of the time the language of the writing falls to the background of the story, but for this book, I kept noticing it. There weren’t any issues, and it was very consistent, but it just felt odd.

Overall, this was a quick and exciting read. I liked the sweet romance, and the unusual ability Janie had. It was an interesting read, with some questions left outstanding that I hope are addressed later in the series.
