It’s been a long week. I spent most of the week reading one book, and it seemed to take a long time, mostly due to the darker tone. I also feel a bit rushed as I realized partway through the week that I have 3-4 books that I’m supposed to have reviews for over the next 2 weeks, and I haven’t read them yet. Oops.

Books read:
ShiftShift – This was more like a prequel to Wool, not a sequel, but it was interesting to read about the history of the world, and how the silos came to be.

Flawed Perfection Flawed Perfection – A love-triangle based romance that was both sweet and breath-taking, with a crazy heartbreaking ending.

Books received:
The White Magic Five & Dime
The White Magic Five & Dime by Steve Hockensmith and Lisa Falco – A Netgalley find that is supposed to be a humourous mystery.

I went to a community book sale yesterday, and picked up a few books. I was hoping to find more, but my reading preferences don’t appear to align with the town’s. The selection was heavy on standard mystery and romance novels, and light on everything else. The sci-fi/fantasy selection was particularly sad, and I didn’t see any PNR or UF books at all. I only walked away with 5 new books.

  1. Looks like you had an excellent week book-wise; hopefully this week will be even better! Happy St Patrick’s Day!

    • Happy St Patrick’s Day to you too. My bookweek definitely ended on a high note. I had such a book hangover from Flawed Perfection that I couldn’t even think about starting my next read until today, almost 48 hours after finishing.
