Feb 282014

February went out with a bang and quite a lot of snow over the past week. It was fun to get a bit of winter weather here, but I’m ready for spring. Everything is so fresh and new and exciting in the spring.

This past month was another great reading month, although I am falling behind in writing reviews. That’s not good since I haven’t been taking notes while reading, but I’m sure I’ll get it figured out.

Books read:

In February – 11
Year-to-date – 26

Favourite book of the month: I had 2 5-star reads this month, but unlike last month, I struggled to decide which was my favourite. I’m picking Small as an Elephant by Jennifer Richard Jacobson since I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it.

Noteworthy Happenings:

I had 2 discussion posts this month: Reading Holiday Books and Have You Ever Wanted to Slow Down Your Reading Speed. I also celebrated my 3 year blogiversary with a giveaway and reflective.

I worked through a few months updating old posts and I’m working on Jan 2013 posts now, so I’ve officially finished a year’s worth of posts.

Challenge Status:

2014 Audio Book Challenge – 3/12
2014 Ebook Challenge – 11/50
2014 Prequel and Sequel Challenge – 25/50 – I reached my original goal in 8 books, so I’ve moved up a level.
2014 TBR Pile Reading Challenge – 13/31
Canadian Book Challenge 7 – 11/13

What’s coming in March?

I don’t have anything special scheduled here for March at this time. I do have a lot less books scheduled to be read, so I’m looking forward to do some mood reading.

On my personal/beauty blog, there are exciting things happening in March, including the launch of the Canadian Beauty Blogger group, which I am super excited about.

  1. Wonderful February, Sarah! You just breezed through your Prequel/Sequel challenge. Wow. While I’ve been reading a whole lot, I find I’ve stalled on putting up reviews for books.

Congratulations on your 3rd year anniversary! Quite a milestone. 🙂

    • Thanks for the well wishes. I’ve been having problems getting all my reviews written too. I have quite a pile to clear up and finish.

  2. Great month for a short one, happy March reading!

  3. I’ve heard of Small as an Elephant but never gave much thought to reading it, now I definitely will. Glad you had a good month!

Thanks for stopping by my blog!
