Dec 152013

Our little bit of snow from last weekend is all gone! The weather has gone back to normal at slightly above freezing, with lots of rain. Oh well, at least we got a bit of snow. We put our Christmas tree up this week. I hate doing it, but like the result. Very pretty, and it makes the holidays seem real.

My big news this week is that I bought and installed the Ultimate Book Blogger Plugin. It is awesome! I’ve been eyeing it for a few weeks, but in order to fully use it, I have to update all my old reviews. I read a post earlier this week with tips to clean old posts and optimize images and database sizes, and decided to just do it. Even better, when I went to buy it, it’s on sale for 30% off! So if you’ve been thinking about it, now is the time. I bought the UBB plugin, plus the Reading Challenge add-on for just under $30.

I’ve started updating my posts, but have almost 3 years to go through, so it will take a while. My goal is to be finished by my 3rd blogiversary at the beginning of Feb. I have 69 pages of posts, and I’m on page 3 already, so it’s doable.

The overall look of things isn’t really changing, but behind the scenes it will be much simpler, and yay for auto-updating archives! If you want to see my progress, check out the new review archive page. And feel free to cheer me on, I could always use the encouragement to do bloggy business. Also, if you know how to create an auto-updating feature archive, please let me know. I can’t figure it out.

Books read:
Dead SpotsDead Spots – This was an exciting and fun story featuring a new and unique paranormal ability.

Fifty Million ReasonsFifty Million Reasons – I need to rewrite my top 10 of 2013 list to have this one on it! This was sweet and heartbreaking at the same time.
