Jan 312013

I’m been off to a great reading start this year. It took almost all month to get all my 2012 reviews up, but I did it. I’ve also started to schedule posts on a loose schedule, with reviews on Mon, Wed, Fri and author posts on Tues and Thurs. It’s something I’m flexible on, but I am trying to stay balanced.

I managed to read quite a few books this month. I’ve been having fun reading from my TBR list, with no commitments this month. It let me pick up whatever I felt like reading, which felt great. I did notice that most of the books I choose this month were adult books. I picked very few YA books, which relates to my reading habits prior to blogging. It’s only been blogging that really has led me to read YA, which is not a bad thing, but it is worth noticing that when I give myself free rein, I tend to choose adult books.

Books read:

In January – 11
Year-to-date -11

Posted in January:

Reviews – 12
Discussion posts – week in review posts
Author interviews – Julie Anne Grasso, Nancy Madore, Sabrina Ricci, John Heldt, R Rodriguez, Martin Fossum
Character interview – Athine from Athine Verses
Author guest posts – none

Challenge Status:

2013 Audio Book Challenge – 1/12
2013 Ebook Challenge – 2/50
2013 Self-Published Reading Challenge – 2/25
Canadian Book Challenge 6 – 14/13 – FINISHED
2013 TBR Double Dog Dare – All books read so far were from my TBR list, although one was iffy because it was a library book, but I had a hold on it prior to Jan 1, so I think that counts.

What’s coming in February?

The usual assortment of reviews and author posts. I don’t have any big giveaways lined up yet. You’ll have to wait and see.

Oh, and my two year blogiversary is next month. I guess I better start planning something to celebrate.
