News… I don’t really have any this week.

Exactly 3 weeks until I go to BEA. I am extremely excited and have lots of scheduling going on. I also have an awesome travel companion for the 9 hour drive. I can’t wait!

My son turned 3 this week. I can’t believe he’s that old already. He’s currently in a very active stage where he can’t be bothered to sit still for most books. He did score one from his cousins that he is willling to sit and read. Mainly because it feeds his current obsession:

Yup, dinosaurs are all the rage around here. We have dinosaur toys, dinosaur movies, dinosaur books, dinosaur pjs, and a real live roaring dinosaur who constantly runs around and pretends to bite a piece off you. Lots of fun.

Books received:

Finding Emma by Steena Holmes – June book tour
Ashen Winter (Ashfall #2) by Mike Mullin – Super excited to get from Netgalley!
Skewered Halo by Brenda Youngerman – May book tour

Storm Front (Dresden Files #1) by Jim Butcher – RAK from Melissa at Writer Grrl Reads
Math City by Ahmad Amani
The Mine by John A Heldt

Sora’s Quest (Cat’s Eye #1) by TL Shreffler – free on Smashwords
The Broken by Julia Joseph – free on Smashwords
Wind-Scarred (The Will of the Elements #1) by Sky Corbelli free on Smashwords

Nimbus (Part 1) by Austin King and BJ Keeton

  1. Awww…happy birthday to your little guy! My daughter loves dinosaurs too. She still calls every train she sees a Dinosaur Train (an awesome show for toddlers if you haven't seen it yet).

    Also, Happy Mother's Day!

I'm glad you found someone to go to BEA with this year. We have a lot of fix-up jobs to do this summer so it wouldn't be a practical thing but I really wish I could have met you and maybe gone to BEA with all the cool Kitchener folks 😀

You got some great books this week. I've always wanted to read the Dresden Files by Jim Butcher.

    • Happy Mother's Day to you too.

Dinosaur Train is awesome. We almost always have one of the movies out from the library. It's one of the few songs my son randomly sings to himself.
