To celebrate the release of Earth Angel, the sequel to Boyfriend From Hell, I have E Van Lowe here today to answer a few questions.
My favorite part of writing a book is getting to know the characters. When I start out I only kind of know the characters, but as I spend days with them I learn things about them I didn’t know. This means I often have to go back and change what I thought I knew to what is actually true about the character. Yet, I never mind going back because I absolutely love discovering new things about characters.
When I was ten-years-old I got pneumonia during the summer. For a kid who loves the outdoors, being housebound all summer could have been unbearable. Fortunately, my mother knew me well. She said “You love making up stories. Why not write some of them down?” Now, here’s the kicker. She said: “You can make money.” That was all my ten-year-old ears needed to hear. I was already a big reader. I started writing fiction. It got me through the summer, and I’ve been writing ever since.
I love ebooks. I’m old school, so I still like paper books as well. But ebooks are the wave of the future and it’s always good to embrace the future. One thing I like about ebooks is how many I can carry on my ipad. Normally when I go on vacation I try to decide how many books I will carry with me. I usually make that decision based on the weight of the book. This past year, I just brought my ipad. I love the ease of carrying around your library.
I do read reviews. I know I shouldn’t because I am always crushed by bad reviews, but I just can’t help myself. Fortunately Boyfriend From Hell has been blessed with lots of rave reviews, so lately I haven’t been crushed that often. LOL
I don’t write reviews. And I’m not organized enough to track of the books I’ve read. My Goodreads page still says I am reading a book I read last summer. LOL.
I have a daily routine, but not necessarily a writing routine. I am a full time writer. I have coffee in the morning, workout, and then I go to work. Work for me can be writing, marketing, doing research or even taking a meeting. Some days I convince myself I’m accomplishing all four by watching TV. LOL.
Yes. As you can tell, I laugh a lot. LOL.
That’s always a great attribute to have. Thanks so much for answering my questions.

Boyfriend From Hell (Falling Angels #1) by E Van Lowe
Fifteen year-old Megan Barnett and her single mom, Suze, have a special relationship—they are friends, close friends, who do almost everything together.
“But come on, guys, she’s my mother… Can I really tell her that while we’re snuggled up on the sofa watching Spider Man Three, I’m secretly undressing James Franco with my eyes? Of course not…”
The special bond takes a turn for the worse when Suze decides to start dating again. She hasn’t had a man in her life since Megan’s father left ten years ago. Enter two mysterious young men, Megan’s new classmate, sinfully attractive bad boy, Guy Matson, and the dangerously handsome art dealer, Armando. Before long Megan and Suze both wind up in steamy relationships. But neither of the handsome pair is quite what he seems. In fact, one of them is Satan, with his sights set on a new bride. Megan has precious little time to figure out how to stop him. If she doesn’t, either Megan or Suze are quite literally going to HELL.
Earth Angel (Falling Angels #2) by E Van Lowe
Just because Megan Barnett recently defeated Satan, has a fantastic new best friend, and has won the love of deliciously handsome, Guy Matson, doesn’t mean her troubles are over. Far from it. For Megan doesn’t realize it, but in her possession is a powerful weapon, a weapon sought after by both angels and demons and everything in between. They will do ANYTHING to get it.
In E. Van Lowe’s humorous, romantic and thrilling sequel to Boyfriend From Hell, Megan winds up in a gripping life or death battle to save herself, the boy she loves, and all of mankind from unthinkable evil.
