Tynga’s Reviews has a new meme that is all about sharing books you loved and think other people should read. The only rule is the book must be more than 6 months old. Without further ado, I dare you to read…
Treasure Me by Christine Nolfi
Published April 2011
Birdie is a thief on a mission to find a family heirloom dating back to the Civil War. She has only a single clue to start from as she searches in Liberty, Ohio. As she digs around, she starts to create a life for herself: a straight, legal life with friends. It’s not something she’s ever had, and she’s not sure how to handle it. Is the treasure she is looking for a priceless heirloom, or the new life she is discovering?
Similar to My Wishlist book this week, I wanted to showcase an uplifting book, and this is definitely one that fits the bill. I believe the ending lines of my review sum it up well. It had romance, a treasure hunt, and a great moral about being able to start over. It was very heartwarming and humourous.
I notice the book has gained a new cover. I think I might like the original one better, but it’s still a great story either way.
