Umm… Blogger? It’s not Saturday yet? Why did you post my Saturday post on Thursday night? Has it been a long week for you too? It’s okay, I understand. Let’s relax a bit and hop today.

When You’re Not Reading: What occupies your time when your nose isn’t stuck in a book?

Lately, my time has been all about work. I have been working overtime every week, spending Saturdays at work, and some extra hours during the week too. Combine that with the overnight babysitting I have been doing twice a week for my sister and it feels like I’m never home. And leaves my exhausted. No wonder my Google Reader is now sitting at 1000+. I can’t even find time to finish any books, let alone read blog posts.

It’s Thanksgiving Day in the U.S. so we want to know what you are Thankful for – blogging related of course! Who has helped you out along the way? What books are you thankful for reading?

I am thankful for the self-published authors. They stick their necks out and share their stories with the world. Some of which are the best books I’ve even read. I am so glad that the book industry has evolved so that they have a legitimate and successful place in it. And I don’t just say this because my ereader is bursting with books.

Are you hopping in to say hello? Please let me know you stopped by. And be sure to enter the Gratitude Giveaway while you’re here.

  1. Awesome shoutt-outs to the self publishers! Work gets crazy for me this time of year too, but I'm thankful to have a job expecially in this economy.

  2. I have recently gotten review requests from two self-published authors, and because of another blogger's argument, I didn't think I was going to read every one. But you have an excellent point as well…

PS: I'm a new follower! Feel free to check out my Frivolously-Follow-Me-Friday Post here. Thanks!

  6. I agree with your thanks. It must be hard to let your work of art go out into the world to be critiqued, but we have come far as far as publishing is concerned.
