Grace and Sam share a kinship so close they could be lovers or siblings. But they also share a problem. When the temperature slips towards freezing, Sam reverts to his wolf identity and must retreat into the woods to protect his pack. He worries that eventually his human side will fade away and he will left howling alone at the lonely moon. A stirring supernatural teen romance. (from Goodreads)
I couldn’t finish this story. It was just too painfully adolescent. Everything was over described and dramatic. Every detail and nuance was not just described, but analyzed and examined from every angle. There wasn’t a simple description of the woods in the fall, every colour was stated, every shadow was mentioned, every feeling the scene invoked was conveyed. I felt the story was lost in the details.
I can see the appeal the narration might have to teenaged girls who partake in this type of behaviour, but I’m not in that phase anymore and just couldn’t stand to listen to it.
